I.e: if your laptop is stolen or your hdd fails, you still have a copy of your files in dropbox. Dropbox is not a backup application, it's a sync app. i wish i could have dropbox upload to the thumb drive instead! and because i am paranoid i have to visually confirm afterwards that i have saved all the new files and not lost any old files. but then of course you have to check "don't replace" when the program encounters all the previously saved files. to save those files on a thumb drive: open the dropbox folder (the one that is housed on the PC, not the online folder), right click on the folder or file you want to copy, select send to, then select the thumb drive. i back up my dropbox camera uploader file bc - what if dropbox just implodes one day? i will have lost those files. Swipe in from the top or bottom edge of the screen or right-click to open the app commands, and then tap or click Paste. Tap or click the arrow next to This PC and choose OneDrive to browse to a folder in your OneDrive. Relatively easy with a file or two, but a bit more cumbersome if you want to use it for backup of your photo uploads. Browse to the files you want to move, and then swipe down on them or right-click them to select them.
